18 | Mass Transit | MassTransitmag.com | SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2014 Arnaud Gouachon VP & Assistant General Counsel Corporate, On-Demand Division Transdev Brittany McMillan Barrett General Manager Cobb County Transit/Transdev ARNAUD GOUACHON was promoted to vice president and assistant general counsel for Transdev, formerly Veolia Transportation Inc., in New York in January 2014. He has respon- sibility over legal and ethics matters for Transdev's On-Demand division. Te human resources and regulatory afairs departments also report to him. Gouachon has nine years of experience as Transdev's in-house counsel in both the U.S. and Europe. He brings an acute awareness of cultur- al diferences in international settings to bear on multiple key competencies, including corpo- rate and business law, contracts and ethics compliance. Prior to this, he was in charge of legal and compliance activities as assistant general counsel for Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE Bus) on Long Island, New York. Gouachon led the company to successfully pass several federal and state audits and investigations, including the frst Federal Transit Administration Triennial Review of NICE Bus transit system as a public-private operat- ing partnership between Nassau County and Veolia Transportation Services Inc. Before then, as associate general counsel for Veolia Transportation North America in Chicago, Gouachon demonstrated strong team and proj- ect management expertise while defly handling a wide range of legal responsibilities, including negotiation and supervision of acquisition projects and complex commercial agreements, as well as management of a wide range of litigation cases. Gouachon has a Master of Laws with honors from North- western University Law School, Chicago; a master's in Europe- an business law from the Uni- versity of Paris XII, Paris; a master's in business law from the University of Toulouse I, in Toulouse, France; a J.D. Equiv- alent (Licence de droit) from the University of Toulouse I, Toulouse, France; a certifcate of business administration from the Instituto de Empresa Business School, Madrid, Spain; and a French Baccalaureate (Bac Scientifque) in math- ematics, with high honors. Gouachon is a member of the New York State Bar association and the American Bar Association. www.MassTransitmag.com/11610346 BRITTANY BARRETT has been with Transdev, formerly Veolia Transportation Inc., since 2004, initially handling the new marketing program for the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority. She developed a branding campaign and was responsible for overseeing a third-party vendor to deploy a $250,000 radio, television and print initiative, as well as speak- ing at community events. During her tenure there she added on the role of customer service manager where she was responsible for managing a call center, as well as customer ser- vice representatives at a trans- fer center. She responded to all customer feedback and was the liaison to all stakeholder com- munity groups such as the federation for the blind and high school transition programs. Eventually Barrett became the public relation director for CM- RTA, now Te Comet, and in this capacity was responsible for handling all media relations as well as spearheading the eforts to pass a countywide 1-cent sales tax to provide a dedicated source of funding for the bus system. Tis funding will allow the system to triple in size over the next decade. Barrett's role within Veolia grew to include regional training and she traveled to diferent locations in the Southeast deploying customer service, supervisor and bus opera- tor instructor training. She is a certifed master trainer through the DOT's Transpor- tation Safety Institute (TSI). In 2011 Barrett joined Ve- olia's Corporate Business De- velopment team where she be- came responsible for renewing current business and earning new contracts. She developed budgets and cost models for services from $1 million to $25 million in revenue over three to seven-year time horizons. In August Barrett began her next role with Transdev as the general manager at Cobb Com- munity Transit in Marietta, Georgia. www.MassTransitmag.com/11617576 "People depend upon us ...
