Aecom Technology Corp. announced that Chet Teaford has joined the company as senior operations manager responsible for Aecom's Arizona operations. Teaford brings more than 30 years of experience. His technical expertise includes program and project management, transportation planning, civil engineering as well as design-build planning and delivery. Ost will handle mar- keting, promotion and public relations as well as travel training pro- grams for Capitol Area Transit (CAT) and the Bis-Man Transit door-to- door paratransit service. He comes to Bis-Man Transit after serving as the online editor for Lee Agri-Media. Ost graduated from Dickinson State Univer- sity with a bachelor's degree in writing and has been working in commu- nications for 12 years. www.MassTransitmag. com/11670407 Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority John Andoh is now a county transportation specialist for Hawaii County Mass Transit Agency. Andoh was previously transit director of the Yuma County Inter- governmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA). On Aug. 25, the YCIPTA board presented an award to Andoh for his accomplishments in establishing the YCIPTA and stabilizing the system and appointed Shelly Kreger, fnancial services operations manager, as interim director. www.MassTransitmag. com/11675121 HDR HDR has promoted Janet Gonzalez to transportation sus- tainability director. Based in the Chicago ofce, Gonzalez will work to grow HDR's sustainability practice across the spectrum of HDR's transportation service oferings. Previously, Gonzalez was a senior transit planner and will continue in this role. She is currently project manager for the North-South Corridor project as part of the Dis- trict of Columbia Streetcar program. Neshati will be responsi- ble for new business de- velopment as well as cus- tomer service for North America. He has more than 30 years of experi- ence in the heavy-duty vehicle market, including more than 10 years with Detroit Diesel and Allison Distributors and has spent the last 17 years as vice president of sales and marketing for Complete Coach Works. Neshati graduated from Saint Mary's College. www.MassTransitmag. com/11598838 Chet Teaford Macy Neshati John Andoh Janet Gonzalez Kalen Ost First BRT in Michigan Launches in Grand Rapids Te Rapid's Silver Line bus rapid transit (BRT) launched Aug. 25 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Te 9.6-mile line connects the Grand Rapids metro area with the downtown and Medical Mile area. Silver Line stations feature amenities to provide convenient, efcient travel, including level boarding, real-time signage, camera surveillance, ticket vending machines for of-board payment and bike parking. Te BRT service will operate on a 10-minute frequency during peak hours and 20-minute frequency of-peak.
