Several years ago, leaders there began looking around to fnd a way to make this dream a reality and in a way that wouldn't decimate its budget. Being situated in Oklahoma, com- pressed natural gas (CNG) seemed like a natural ft for Pelivan given the large reserve of the resource situated under the state, said agency Transit Director Debbie McGlasson. "It's been a chicken and the egg con- cept where what you have to have frst, but you really need to grow together be- cause if you're an investor looking to put in a fast fll CNG station, there has to be a feet in the area," McGlasson said. "If they're going to do an investment, they need to see a turnaround right away."
